Wordless Wednesday

We started back to school earlier this month, and now it is time for activities to start.  Today we were off to Ballet and Soccer.

we're starting soccer too. we tried a one sport a season rule but my oldest just tried out for travel baseball which may end up being basically year round.

Oh, Lisa, I hope never to get there. I have been lucky, my kids like to try a variety of things. My oldest started with soccer, went to swimming, tried triathlons and now at 13 is trying out ballet for the first time. Good luck with the travel baseball. Hope you everything works out for you and your family.

summer always seems to pass to quickly to me... I bet the kids are happy to have new things to do & see all their friends they missed over summer.

Oh, they are very happy, we live a ways out in the country so there are no neighborhoods here. Most kids grow up being able to go outside and find someone to play with. My kids have to make arrangements to get together with friends. But for me I like this slow transition school starts early here so we get a good two -three weeks of adjusting before we start running around after school.

Enjoy! I can't wait to see what activities Baby chooses to do when he is older :-)

Charise, We are, I have always let my kids choose their activities, within reason. I want them to do what they like, not what I choose. I encourage them to try different things, not become a specialist, but rather to have fun trying new things. Pi is trying ballet for the first time at age 13. Peanut is doing triathlons just for fun. I think my kids are pretty awesome.
